Great place! We were visiting Hershey and happened to find this little gem. The food was amazing! Definitely recommend the loaded elote fries! I had the chicken bowl, my husband had a burrito. Everything was so good!

In Hershey, we hit this Mexican spot that was flat-out DAYUM good. The tamales were legit, and the burritos were massive and loaded right. We tried all the flavor of tamales, the al pastor and canitas burritos both were good but the flavor on the al pastor was excellent. We only made it through half, which just means leftovers are about to slap just as hard. Absolutely worth it. Five stars, no hesitation. Then across the little plaza there is a dessert place, so you can get a fresh warm cookie or finish your pallet with a guava cupcake. This restaurant spot is worth the visit.

Ordered the burrito al pastor. Was a great size and delicious. Came out really quickly and was served with two salsas, both great. Portion was way bigger than I expected. Would definitely come back!

Don’t walk here! You have to run here! I did have high hopes and I was not disappointed. The only place I could find nopales! The nopales burrito was so good, and huge! I started off with half but it was so good I had to finish it and then stuffed for the rest of the day, but no regrets. The pico was fresh and delicious, and I liked the fact that it was refried black beans and not pinto. They included a side of green and red hot sauce which was the perfect added touch! Beautifully assembled and burrito never fell apart. All the flavors complimented so well! Nice to have something that taste close to authenticity vs these “Mexican” restaurants.

We had an amazing meal. I ordered a steak and sausage burrito and guacamole. The burrito was large with great flavor, steak was tender and delicious as was the sausage. The guacamole was refreshing and favorable. I will definitely be back.

We were throwing a last minute birthday party & the guest of honor requested birria tacos. This GEM of a place is located in Briarcrest Square, but I have a feeling they will outgrow it soon because they are typically busy. It is worth the wait. Customer service is amazing and the food is hot and delicious if you are in a hurry, I suggest you order and pay ahead with door dash and you won't have to worry about waiting. We have been here a few times, and you truly can't go wrong with anything you order. Taco Specials every day during certain hours. Everything is very clean. Indoor and outdoor seating.

What a great little Mexican restaurant. The beef birria burrito was huge and delicious. Loaded with tons of tender, juicy meat. Birria fries were loaded. The carnitas taco were very flavorful, but a little dry. Service was exceptional. Easy to get to from the medical campus.

At the heart of Hershey, PA, La Catrina Mexican Street Food stands out as an authentic gem delivering a true taste of Mexico. Nestled at 23 Briarcrest Square, this Mexican restaurant captures the vibrant flavors and hearty portions that Mexican cuisine is celebrated for. What immediately strikes you is the bold, rich flavor profile carried through every dish—whether you’re digging into their signature loaded elote fries or a massive burrito packed with tender, flavorful fillings.

Reviewers consistently praise the generous portions, with many noting they leave with leftovers just as delicious the next day. Authenticity shines through here, especially in dishes like the nopales burrito, crafted with refried black beans and fresh pico, showcasing a thoughtful attention to traditional ingredients often missing in mainstream Mexican eateries. The al pastor burrito, a standout favorite, bursts with a smoky, succulent depth that keeps diners coming back.

What truly elevates La Catrina is the balance of flavors and textures—the spicy heat of their green and red hot sauces complements rather than overwhelms, while the fresh, vibrant salsas bring brightness to each bite. The tamales are “legit,” rich and satisfying, embodying the street-food spirit of Mexico in every mouthful.

The pace of service matches the lively spirit of the food: prompt, friendly, and welcoming. It’s no wonder guests call it a “little gem” worthy of a run rather than a walk. For anyone craving bold, authentic Mexican street food in Hershey, La Catrina offers an experience that doesn’t just fill you but leaves a lasting impression—flavorful, genuine, and deeply satisfying.
